RSA reflection 08/05/24

on Wednesday we went to the RSA  to clean. I was in a group with Marcia and we were picking up rubbish outside. We took a rubbish bag outside to put the rubbish in. we went around the whole outside picking up empty bottles and rubbish when we finished we went in side we cleaned the ice machine I cleaned the tray that goes inside it and Marcia cleaned the inside of the machine. when we finished the ice machine we restocked and cleaned the drinks in the chiller.

RSA Reflection

This week at the RSA I cleaned the chiller with Marcia first we restocked the fridges and then we sorted out the shelves putting the same boxes in the same spots and put the empty boxes in the shed. Then we put all the boxes that were on the ground on the shelves where there were spaces and then we picked up any rubbish around and swept it out.

IDY- RSA reflection

this semester we have been working at the RSA to gain work experience, today I was in a group with Marcia and were on moping and cleaning the bar area. I mopped the kitchen, back bar and in front of the bar. Then we cleaned the bar area first we took everything out the shelves and whipped them down then we put everything back every thing tidier.

In today’s class, me and my group made seafood chowder, ramen ,and garlic pizza bread. for the garlic bread it took a long time to make it because we had to make the dough first so it would rise in time, then we started on the seafood chowder, to make this we used mussels, surimi, milk, flour, and curry powder.

For the toppings of our ramen we used sweet potato that was boiled in soy sauce, some eggs, shallots, chicken broth and spring onions.  the first thing we did was boil the sweet potato in soy sauce, we then got started making our noodles and our eggs.  After we put everything together we took some photos of our group and the food we prepared, In the end we ate it and we all liked it cause it tasted yummy.

in today’s class me and my group learn how to make soup with veges and meatballs

one thing i learnt about chef mark is he worked with Gordan Ramsay for a couple of  week

one of the sectors of hospitality and catering is cooking food like McDonald’s , being a bartender and working on a cruise

two types of knives is chefs knife and boning knife

make sure to point your knife  down when walking and when you and pass it you have to give them the handle first

my overall thoughts was good  because we didn’t  burn it and it was fun to make with my friends
